What is BBA/BABA?
Our BAA – BABA icon indicates a product family that has versions available that meet “Buy America(n)” (BAA) and/or “Build America, Buy America” (BABA) requirements. BAA commonly applies to direct purchases made by the U.S. federal government, where BABA can apply to certain federally funded projects, which are not directly procured by the federal government.

In summary – The TAA applies to government contracts valued above the TAA threshold, which is currently $183,000 for a supply contract. In order for an item to be TAA compliant, the item must comply with one of the following:
- The item must be wholly grown, produced, or manufactured in the United States or in a ‘‘Designated Country’’
- The item must be substantially transformed into a new and different article of commerce in the United States or in a ‘‘Designated Country.’’
